Boeing Sees No Bubble In 737 Market

Boeing said on Tuesday it sees no bubble in the market for 737s and that production could rise to 60 aircraft a month at the current factory in Renton, Washington, though production may not go that high.

Beverly Wyse, Boeing's 737 program manager, told reporters the factory plans to step up production to 42 per month in the second quarter and may go to 52 per month in 2018 or 2019, but that the company was still studying the possibility.

Faster production of Boeing's best-selling 737 increases revenue, while shortening the time between when airlines order aircraft and when they are delivered, now about eight years on average. Boeing and rival Airbus have record order backlogs.

Boeing this week is starting to increase production to 42 a month from 38 and expects to achieve that rate when the first 737 built at that pace rolls of the line in the second quarter.

The company plans to lift the rate to 47 a month in 2017, Wyse said, adding that the target will not change, even as production of its new 737 MAX begins in 2015 on a third line to be added to the Renton factory.

With a third production line, the Renton factory would be capable of producing more than 60 jets a month, though it is not clear it would go to that rate, Wyse said.

Erik Nelson, director of 737 manufacturing, said Boeing plans to hold steady at 42 a month even as the MAX begins.

"The way I would put it is we'll deliver 42 a month" until the MAX enters service in 2017, he said.

At that point, production would rise to 47 a month, he said.

The dust kicks close to lift off as downwash from wings coupled with thrust hit runway and spill onto unprepared surface. It trails behind by a distance twice the length of aircraft. Traffic is managed till cloud of dust vanish which takes around three to four minutes in light wind. No worries about safety.

Da, isi pot permite ca LOT are LF de peste 95% pentru zborurile transatlantice. Sunt foarte foarte multi polonezi in State si vin macar o data pe an in tara. In plus au monopol pe cursele transatlantice din Varsovia. Daca vrei sa faci comparatie cu Romania nu va merge pentru ca, comunitatea romana de peste ocean e dezmebrata, nu are suficiente resurse financiare incat sa isi permita un zbor anual spre tara, rup relatiile cu tara. A se vedea si felul in care zboara romanii in Europa. Foarte putini vin acasa cu avionul din Spania, Franta, Marea Britanie sau Italia. De aceea companiile aeriane din Romania nu ar umple niste avioane de peste 120 de pasageri cu curse zilnice.

Prea multe diferente pentru a putea compara LOT cu Tarom spre exemplu.

Boeing estimează că va vinde în China 6.000 de avioane, în următorii 20 de ani

China ar urma să îşi tripleze flota aeriană pentru transport de pasageri în perioada 2013-2033, potrivit declaraţiei lui Randy Tinseth, vicepreşedinte al departamentului de Marketing al companiei din Statele Unite, informează Wall Street Journal, citat de Mediafax.

În prezent, China dispune de 2.310 avioane.

Boeing anticipează că cel mai bine vândute aparate vor fi avioanele cu o singură punte, datorită creşterii companiilor aeriene care operează zboruri low cost. Astfel, producătorul american estimează că livrările de avioane cu o singură punte către China se vor ridica la 4.340 de unităţi până în 2033.

FAA orders new 787 electrical fix to prevent power failure

All Boeing 787 operators will be required to periodically deactivate the electrical system to avoid a problem with a newly-discovered software bug that could cause the aircraft to lose alternating current (AC) power, the US Federal Aviation Administration says in a new airworthiness directive. The agency adopted the final rule after Boeing reported the results of a laboratory test showing a total loss of power is possible if the generator control units run continuously for eight months, says the FAA's 30 April notice in the Federal Register.
