- Himars (cumparare de-a gata) - fara offset
- tancuri Abrams (54 cumparare de-a gata) - 54 le asamblam noi - deci fara offset
Literalmente prostie crasa. Si vedem azi in ukr ce ar pati trasportoarele astea. - partial offset
- rachete antinava - fara offset
- transpostoare blindate usoare pt FOS - fara offset
- radare/comunicatii - fara offset
- viitorul program F35 - fara offset

[Exclusive] Hyundai Rotem K2 to be live-fired in Romania next month... final test
2024.04.05

It has been confirmed that the Romanian government will conduct a local live-fire test of Hyundai Rotem's K2  tank next month.
The event will be attended by both Korean and Romanian military officials and Hyundai Rotem representatives, and is the final gateway to export.

"The schedule for the first local live-fire test of the Hyundai Rotem K2 Tank in Romania has been finalised," said a senior military official. "The week-long test, which will take place from the 10th to the 16th of next month, will be attended by both government officials and Hyundai Rotem representatives."

This is the first time the K2 tank has been live-fired in Romania.
Local live-fire testing of tracked equipment is the de facto final step in evaluating the weapon's performance before signing a contract.

Experts believe that the results of the test will determine the size and timing of the K2 tank export, including the contract value and number of tanks.

At last year's Korea-Romania Defence Cooperation Conference, the Romanian Army said it needs 300 tanks.

"We understand that Hyundai Rotem's target order for K2 tanks in Romania is around 500 units and around 10 trillion won," said an industry insider.

Hyundai Rotem has been focusing on Romania after it failed to export the K2 tank to Norway last year, losing out to Germany's Leopard tank.

The company is reportedly proposing to transfer K2 tank technology to Romania, and is also looking into having local companies manufacture materials, parts, and equipment for the tanks.

The competitor is the American Abrams, which is said to be the world's most powerful tank.

The Romanians have claimed that the K2 tank is about 10 tonnes (t) lighter than the Abrams, making it more manoeuvrable, but with similar destructive power.

Hyundai Rotem plans to participate in BSDA 2024, the largest international defence industry exhibition in the region, which opens next month on the 22nd, immediately after the live-fire test in Romania.
